Look Out, Here He Comes!

Saturday morning Joshua woke up with a third tooth. In celebration of this addition to his mouth, he started walking.
He has been pulling up and cruising for several months. We got him a walk-behind toy that he loves to push around. After a week of pushing his toy around, Joshua let go of it Saturday morning and walked to Dave. He has put together as many as 15 steps in a row to walk across the whole room.

Joshua enjoys "doing laundry". We will hire him out to help with your laundry, for a small fee, anytime you need assistance.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Joshua is 10-months old!
He loves music, throwing things (mostly his food and paci) and going to the playground.
Below are highlights of a couple recent trips to the playground...

Heisman Watch

Here is a repost of a story that ran on espn.com early this week:

Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, Mark Ingram...and Joshua Nolen?
Since there is no front-runner for the Heisman Trophy this year, why not consider a 10-month old? Reports out of Starkville, Mississippi, claim that Joshua Nolen has been spending the last few months putting on weight and working out consistently. As shown below, he has been working on pull-ups (including one-arm pull-ups), and, as seen in the video, he has also been working on his ball skills. With skills like these, he has to be considered in the thick of the Heisman race-watch out Superman!

Josh-o-lantern

Last Halloween was our first Halloween in Starkville and we unprepared for the number of trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood. This year we got bags of candy "buy one get one free" and were able to feed the masses.
We were visited by 2 dragons, 3 cowboys, numerous princesses, a bunch of grapes, football players from almost every SEC school, and countless unidentifiable scary creatures among other things. The unfortunate moment of the night was "Super Woman" running down the driveway and falling into the street spilling all her candy-I guess super powers don't cover all moments of need. Joshua started his 1st Halloween by "treating" several families. We made and iced cookies to be delivered as treats. He donned his pumpkin suit and off we went. It was fun to know on the doors and give of some of our friends and give a treat.

"OK folks, I think I am way cuter the this google eyed pumpkin on the chair."

"Actually, I think I'm cuter than most anything right now."

The final product. Dave voted for google eyes and a triangle nose. I voted for 2 bottom teeth since Joshua only has 2 bottom teeth. We had one trick-or-treater say, "I like your cross eyed pumpkin" which made Dave very happy.

A Happy Birthday Aunt B Weekend

This weekend Beth came to Starkville to celebrate her birthday with us.
Dave and I had a good time watching these two play. It is obvious that Joshua loves his Aunt B and Aunt B loves her Joshua.

Even though Beth does not like any dish with pumpkin in it she sure knew how to get Josh-o-lantern to smile for pictures.

Reading together

Joshua bangs his head into yours as a sign of affection. Aunt B was shown love a lot this weekend.

"Are you kidding, I gave you that for your birthday!?! Can I have it back?"
