Spring Break and other fun

Spring Break for Joshua was an exciting week spent with Nana.
First they went to Birmingham to see Aunt  B.

"Mom, I rode a carousel and I was the only one on it.  I ruled the carousel!"

A trip to the LEGO store was certainly a highlight!

Not only did he visit the LEGO store but Nana got him a new LEGO set.

Assembling his new LEGO set at Aunt B's house.

This boy love his Aunt B!

Joshua loved eating french fries out a car.

A visit to Aunt B's school rounded out the Birmingham portion of Spring Break.
Of course he needed to try out the reading tub in Aunt B's library.

A cousin dinner at the Japaneses restaurant

Joshua and Abigail had a great time at dinner.
Their chef told them he was serving them rabbit and panda bear which wasn't funny to either of them until Nana told them it was a joke.

Anna Ruth and Amelia joined the Spring Break fun on Thursday.
We had a surprise party for Luke and enjoyed watching basketball.

The culmination of Spring Break fun was a LEGO day camp.
Joshua loved spending the morning building.
Thanks Coach and Nana for a great Spring Break!
Meanwhile, Anna Ruth got to use markers again at school.
(This picture doesn't begin to show the amount of marker on this kid.  She had blue marker on her shoulders, the back of her shirt, her shoes, and all up her right arm.)

Joshua and Anna Ruth were excited to have sweet family members babysit them last weekend while Dave and Amelia attended a conference.  Trevor, Jessica and Tanner were troopers!  Joshua loved spending time with them and Anna Ruth loved cuddling with Jessica.

pictures from adventures

Joshua's school hosted a Kid's Fair a couple weekends ago.
Dave was out of town so the kids and I enjoyed getting out and playing games.

Joshua was extra excited to see Bully.  But Anna Ruth fell in love!  She didn't want Bully to get too close to her but since that day she asks to see this picture all the time.  She stares at it and talks to Bully.

That same day we went to campus to play on the drill field.
We had just had 2 snow days and loved being able to get outside and run.

Joshua and I chase Anna Ruth all over the place.
(That's her...way down the side walk.)

Then a week later we had another weather day because of ice.
So the fort boxes were brought out and Dave and Joshua had target practice in the living room with the dart guns.  (safety first!)

An icicle from the bush in our front yard 2 days after the ice.

ice from our front yard.
This past weekend we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch.
The CFA cow was there (of course) and frequented our table.
Initially, Anna Ruth liked the cow only from a distance but she quickly warmed up.
He brought her gifts...and she followed him around the restaurant saying "hi, moo!"

She talked about the "Moo" all the time.
I think her love for Bully is now surpassed only by her love for Moo.
