Summer Bucket List

The first weekend of summer, Joshua and I made a summer bucket list.  We listed 45 things we thought would be fun to do this summer.  Our list includes things like: going to the pool, playing with Legos, visiting family, playdates with friends, museums, art, etc.
We have had a full summer so far.  Several things have been marked off our list.
Joshua has enjoyed spending time with friends he usually sees only at church.   Joshua spent a week at Coach and Nana's VBS and received the royal treatment. Anna Ruth and I joined him for the weekend before we all came home.  We spent the next weekend in Jackson too. Things like playing UNO with Gumby and Aunt Joy, Winner Circle Park, the Children's Museum, a movie, Brent's Drugs for lunch and the Splash Pad have made the these trips highlights.

Anna Ruth loves the park!

keeping it classy at the Children's Musuem

Johsua was excited to find a turtle shell to match the Ninja Turtle mask he made

Coach took us to Brent's Drugs for lunch. He told us about how he used to eat lunch there on Sundays after church when he was a kid and how portions of the movie The Help were filmed there.  And...the food was delicious.

Anna Ruth was unimpressed with the Splash Pad.

Joshua on the other hand loved it!
There is a picture on this previous blog post of Joshua at this part of the splash pad check it out

Check out this post from Summer 2011 for a picture of little Joshua sitting on this alligator!
